Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 16, 2026

Pro Estate Cleanouts (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates proestatecleanouts.com (the “Site”), a directory of estate sale, liquidation, cleanout, and property-clearing businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Account information

If you create a business account, we collect your email address, a securely hashed version of your password, and optionally your name. We never store your password in plain text.

Business listing information

If you submit or claim a business listing, we collect the information you provide about that business — name, description, phone number, website, address, category, and any photo you upload. This information is displayed publicly on the Site as part of the directory.

Payment information

If you purchase a Feature Listing subscription, payment is processed entirely by Stripe, Inc. We do not collect or store your card number or other payment card details on our servers. We retain limited subscription information from Stripe — such as subscription status and renewal date — to determine whether a listing is currently featured.

Cookies and session data

We use a single functional cookie to keep you signed in to your account. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.

How We Use Your Information

  • To create and maintain your account
  • To display business listings on the Site
  • To review and approve listing submissions and ownership claims
  • To process Feature Listing subscription payments and manage billing
  • To communicate with you about your account or a listing
  • To maintain the security and integrity of the Site

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers that help us operate the Site:

  • Stripe, Inc. — processes subscription payments
  • Vercel Inc. — hosts the Site and stores uploaded listing photos
  • Neon, Inc. — hosts our database

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pro Estate Cleanouts, our users, or the public.

Data Retention

We retain account and listing information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Site. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time by contacting us (see below).

Your Rights and Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us at support@proestatecleanouts.com. If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to request its deletion; you can exercise these rights using the same contact method.

Third-Party Links

Listings on the Site may link to a business’s own website. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies directly.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical measures, including encrypted connections and hashed passwords, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above when we do.
